The Mathorn MBC-D700 is a compact, dual-channel charger designed for Sony NP-F type batteries (NP-F550 / F770 / F970 and similar). It allows independent charging of one or two batteries simultaneously, making it easy to prepare spare power before a photoshoot, video recording session, or trip.

Equipped with a segmented LED display, the charger shows charging progress independently for CH1 and CH2 channels, allowing you to quickly check each battery's charge level without removing it from the device. Its compact dimensions and USB power supply make the MBC-D700 convenient for use both at home and in the field. The charger can be powered by a USB wall charger, power bank, laptop, or car USB port.

Charging one or two batteries

The Mathorn MBC-D700 automatically adjusts the charging current based on the number of active channels. When charging a single battery, the current reaches up to 700 mA. When both channels are occupied, the charging current goes up to 500 mA per channel. This allows for faster charging of a single cell or simultaneous preparation of two batteries. Importantly, channels CH1 and CH2 operate independently, meaning you can charge batteries with different charge levels without inserting them at the same time.

Estimated charging times

The time required for a full charge depends on battery capacity, level of discharge, the number of active channels, and the performance of the USB power source. Approximate charging times for fully discharged NP-F series batteries include:

• NP-F550 (3500 mAh): Approx. 5 hours (single battery) or approx. 7 hours (two batteries simultaneously).

• NP-F770 (6700 mAh): Approx. 9.5 hours (single battery) or approx. 13.5 hours (two batteries simultaneously).

Safe and convenient charging

The Mathorn MBC-D700 continuously monitors the charging process and automatically adapts operating parameters to the number of channels used. An output voltage of 8.4 V ensures proper charging of compatible batteries, while the independent CH1 and CH2 channels allow for simultaneous charging of batteries at varying discharge levels.
