The Mathorn MBC-SDT75AC is a compact, dual-function AC/DC power adapter with a 75 W output, designed for charging V-mount batteries and powering photographic and filmmaking accessories via a D-TAP 16.8 V connection. Simple, intuitive operation combined with a solid build makes it a reliable, all-purpose power solution for both studio use and on-location work.

D-TAP Charger for V-mout batteries

The adapter is designed for convenient, safe and predictable charging of V-mount batteries at 16.8 V with a maximum charging current of 4.5 A. Built-in electronics protect the battery against overcharging and excessive voltage, helping to maintain long-term battery health. The charging process is easy to monitor thanks to a clear dual-colour LED indicator: red during charging and green once charging is complete.

With a power output of 75 W, a 100 Wh battery can be charged to approximately 95% in about 95 minutes, and to 100% in around 125 minutes. Compatibility with most popular V-mount batteries makes the adapter suitable for studio environments as well as field and on-set use.

D-TAP 16.8 V Power Supply Mode

When required, the adapter can also operate as a stable and efficient D-TAP 16.8 V power supply for photographic and video equipment. It can power cameras and mirrorless systems, on-camera and field monitors, video recorders, LED lights, wireless video transmitters, follow focus systems and other accessories that require a dependable power source.

Thanks to robust internal electronics and effective passive cooling, the adapter can operate continuously at the full 75 W load without the risk of overheating. This makes it a practical alternative to battery power, especially during long studio sessions or productions where stable power, clean cable management and fewer charged batteries are essential.
