The Mathorn MB-902 battery is the natural successor to the MB-901 model. Thanks to a redesigned power and charging system, it delivers up to twice the output power — up to 70 W — while using the same proven LG INR18650MJ1 lithium-ion cells with a total capacity of 10500 mAh. New USB-A and USB-C ports now support modern fast-charging protocols, making the battery even more practical for everyday use. Replacing the LCD display with an LED indicator has also reduced the battery’s height by 7 mm (–9.1%) and lowered its weight by 14 g (–4.17%).

Be SMART with the New Mathorn MB-902 Battery

The most important upgrade in the MB-902 is the SMART fast-charging module, previously known from Mathorn V-mount batteries. The battery now features a bi-directional USB-C port supporting Power Delivery 3.0, AFC, Huawei FCP and SCP, as well as Quick Charge 4.0.

The USB-A port has also been enhanced with support for Huawei FCP, SCP, and Quick Charge 3.0. As a result, the MB-902 can power not only NP-F-compatible devices, but can also function as a high-capacity, fast-charging power bank.

Save Time with Faster Charging

Thanks to the bi-directional USB-C port with Power Delivery 3.0, the battery can be charged at up to 30 W. In practice, depending on ambient temperature, charging from empty to 80% takes approximately 45–55 minutes, while a full charge to 100% takes around 75–90 minutes. This means charging times can be reduced by over 80% compared to the standard 5 V / 2.4 A charging used in the MB-901.

However, the newly designed power system can now deliver up to 70 W via the NP-F output, nearly doubling the power available in the MB-901.
