The Mathorn MBC-D200 is a compact, dual-channel charger designed for Sony NP-FW50 battery and compatible replacements. It features a backlit monochrome LCD display that provides key information about the charging process, such as voltage, charging current, amount of charge delivered, and a graphical representation of the battery charge level. Importantly, the charger offers a quick way to check the battery charge status, even when not connected to a USB power source. The built-in USB Type-A cable and additional USB-C port provide flexibility for use at home and on the go, allowing you to charge the battery using a power bank, USB port in your car, or even from a laptop.
Modern and Safe Pulsed Charging for Cells
The MBC-D200 charger utilizes a modern pulsed charging method, delivering higher current to the battery in short 5-second cycles. This charging method minimizes the risk of overheating the cells and prevents electrode degradation due to the formation of so-called passivation layers, which are thin coatings that impede current flow and reduce battery efficiency. Pulsed charging extends the lifespan of the cells, resulting in a greater number of charge-discharge cycles throughout the battery's lifespan.
It is worth noting that the pulsed charging process works for both one and two batteries placed in the charger. When charging two batteries, the charging cycles alternate, allowing for full utilization of the charger's available power and reducing charging time.

Additionally, the charger has a USB Type-C port that can be used to power the charger, for example, with a phone charger cable.
