GlareOne Spotlight PRO 20° - projection snoot

The GlareOne Spotlight PRO 20° is a professional optical snoot designed for LED lights with a maximum output of 300W and studio flashes up to 1000Ws. It has a lens with a 20-degree angle and four internal shutter blades that allow you to shape the light stream. It is equipped with a set of 5 color filters, 16 gobos, and a carrying bag.

Construction

The body of the Spotlight PRO is made of aluminum and heat-resistant plastic thus it is not only durable but also safe to use. An integral part of the housing is the aluminum heat shield which is also designed to work as a heat sink. The lens barrel and the frame of the shutter blades are made of heat-resistant polyamide plastic, which allows you to work comfortably with it. You can use 300 W LED lights and 1000Ws studio flashes in combination with Spotlight PRO.

Lens

Spotlight PRO lens has a fast aperture of f/1.8  thanks to which the light transmission is very high.  The lens is optimized for low chromatic aberration thus you can achieve very sharp and defined edges. Thanks to shutter blades and gobos you can add a unique feel and atmosphere to your image and shape the light exactly how you want. Besides, there is a color gel holder built into the front element of the barrel (10 different gels are supplied).

Shutter blades

An integral part of the Spotlight PRO is a set of four shutter blades. They are designed for precision adjusting of the light spread and allow you to precisely illuminate carefully selected parts of the image. Shutter blades may be used together with gobos and color gels as well. 

Gobos

Spotlight PRO uses standard M-size gobos (diameter 66 mm) and it’s supplied with a set of 16 gobos and a frame allowing quick and easy application of various light effects. Gobo might be used simultaneously with shutter blades and a color filter gel holder as well.

Colors

Spotlight PRO comes with a set of 10 basic color gels and a specially designed holder that allows you to attach them to the front of the lens. 

Compatibility

Optical snoot are recommended for use with continuous light lamps. With LED lamps, it gives an evenly projected light image. Spotlight can also be used with flash lamps. However, it is important to know that when using the Spotlight with flash lamps such as Vega or Antares due to the physical structure of the flash tube, the projected circle of light may be slightly darker in the middle part.

Technical specification:

* Due to its closed construction, it is not recommended to use Spotlight with flashes of more than 1000 Ws and LED lamps of more than 300 W maximum power. Lamps with higher wattage can generate too much heat, which will accumulate, which can lead to damage to the lamp or the Spotlight. Spotlight cannot be used with halogen lamps and flash tubes equipped with halogen pilot lights.
