Spherical
Lantern stands outs by its unique spherical construction, which strongly differs from other softboxes. This shape makes the light evenly dispersed over a large area, making the Lantern ideal as a source of fill light.
Light control
The primary function of a softbox such as the Lantern is to provide omnidirectional fill light which is needed on every set. At the same time, good control over the light-spill is necessary which is why Lantern is equipped with a skirt. This feature will give you the ability to control the spread o flight and flag-out specific parts of the scene. The skirt is not a single piece of fabric but is made of four independent panels that can be closed and opened depending on the situation.
Easy to use
The Lantern is based on the easy to setup umbrella-style frame. The skirt is attached with velcro which guarantees speed and simplicity of use. The softbox comes with a handy carrying case.
Refine
The skirt is laminated on the inside with a silver reflective screen. Outside surface is black (matte). The diffuser responsible for diffusing the light is made of lightweight and damage resistant rip-stop nylon. All materials are selected individually. Their color neutrality is preserved, so that the softbox does not negatively affect the quality of light. The mounting ring is made of anodized aluminum and the frame rods are steel.
