Boom
The Fatboy Boom is equipped with a central column break mechanism that makes it a 2 in 1 tripod. When the central column is vertical, it reaches a maximum height of 315 cm. When the center column is working vertically, it reaches a maximum height of 315 cm. This kind of tripod should be in every photographic and film studio, because it allows to safely place a lamp over the set to get lighting from above. The crane is also useful when the lamp needs to be hung above the camera or camcorder which may be troublesome or even impossible with a regular tripod.
Durability
The Fatboy is an all-chrome stainless steel tripod designed for durability and strength for years to come. It belongs to a group of C-Stand tripods that have been standard equipment on film, television and photography sets for decades.
Stability
Fatboy's design features a low center of gravity, which makes it very stable even when mounted on a lamp with a deep hexagonal softbox. The shape of the legs is adapted for hanging on them additional ballast, which increases the stability of the entire construction. The legs are finished with feet to reduce slipping on smooth surfaces.
Load capacity
Maximum unfolded Fatboy central column is able to hold loads up to 20 kg. Such a great lifting capacity allows you to work freely even with very large softboxes with a diameter of 150 cm or large umbrellas.
