The real 2-in-1
The Combo Boom can be used as a tripod in photo studios and on film sets. The maximum load capacity of 8kg can easily support a lamp with a hexagonal softbox up to 120cm in diameter. Thanks to the mechanism of folding central column it can be quickly transformed into a boom tripod with an extra long arm. In this configuration it can be used to mount light and small lamps or LED panels over the set. The arm's tip stem is detachable, reversible and has two mounting points (1/4 and 3/8 inch), which makes Combo Boom also suitable for use as a microphone stand above the set.
Durability
The tripod is almost entirely made of metal parts, which makes its durability extremely high. The only non-metallic parts are the section locking screw holders and the leg feet themselves. All other parts, crucial for the durability of the structure, are made of aluminum.
Details
The knobs are ergonomically shaped and large enough to provide a firm grip and prevent fingers from getting trapped during height adjustment. The center column break mechanism is 100% metal and features an extra-large handle with position adjustment. The legs are long, giving wide spacing and therefore great stability. The tripod arm is topped with a head that allows vertical or horizontal mounting of the stylus, and it is shaped in such a way as to prevent rotation of the lamp suspended over the shooting set. The other end of the arm is equipped with a counterweight loop, which is necessary to use the boom safely. The 22mm diameter legs can be fitted with additional casters to facilitate studio work especially with large light modifiers.
